Cupcakes, Brides & Cutie Pies

Wow...life has been busy! I did manage to get a few card creations in these past few weeks though :)  Guess I have been influenced by my friends having kids and the royal wedding lol.  May I present Cupcakes, Brides & Cutie Pies!

Cupcakes

These were made with the Create A Cupcake stamp set and coordinating punch that was in the Occasions Mini that was finished last month.  Fingers crossed that it's in next year's catalogue because I just LOVE it. I will admit that I borrowed the idea for these from my friend Dawn, The Inked Stamper. Go check out her site! She is an amazing scrapbooker who has been featured in Canadian Scrapbooker and is about to open her own scrapbooking store here in St. Albert.

Brides

Ok so the yellow one is just a "love" one, but I made it with weddings in mind. On the Bride to Be card I embossed the stamp with gold and then coloured it in with a gold metalic marker, you know, the kind you have to shake before using. I remember these from elementary school!

Cutie Pies

In honour of my friends who are about to give birth I created these two cards.  The Welcome Baby one reminds me of vintage cards for some reason. I used Crystal Effects on the diaper shirt to make it shiny.

Monochromatic Elegance

Sometimes less is more.  I simply LOVE the effect of the brushed silver light grey, accented with a stamp embossed in silver. Truly elegant!

I was also messing around with a camera app for my iPhone  :)

Dinosaur!

Just call me the Queen of Retired Sets.  I'm going through all my old stamp sets and seeing what I can come up with.  Last night's creation is this really cute dino-themed card using the Prehistoric Pals stamp set (and the letters are from the I'm Here set). I made it as an invitation but if you leave the inside blank it would make a great birthday card.  My favourite part are the little party hats which were cut freehand out of white paper and then coloured with marker.

Prehistoric Pals

The inside invite section was printed using the old SU "Write Me a Memory" volume 2 font set.  See? Queen of all things retired. :)
